Centre’s website receives half a million hits

The Centre is pleased to announce that the total number of hits to its website exceeded half a million last month. “Although hits are not the only index of whether a website is receiving attention”, commented Professor Andrew Linzey, “it is still a pretty good achievement bearing in mind that the Centre has only been in existence for less than 18 months”. “It is particularly heartening”, Professor Linzey continued, “that the visits come from all over the world, and especially from universities and colleges. More than 20 academic institutions have links to our website, and the current number of hits is averaging more than 1,000 a day”.
