New French University Journal on Animals

The Faculty of Law of Limoges University has launched a new academic journal called “Revue Semestrielle de Driot Animale”.
Edited by Jean-Pierre Marguenaud, Florence Burgat, and Jacques Leroy, the journal will be published twice a year. The first issue, launched this term, is on the theme of animal experimentation, and comprises contributions on the scientific, ethical, theological and philosophical aspects by Gill Langley, Jean-Paul Renard, Xavier Perrot, Dalida Jankowiak-Latour, Florence Burgat, Élisabeth Hardouin-Fugier, and Centre Director Andrew Linzey.
“This is yet one more example of how the issue of animals is making progress in academic circles”, commented Professor Andrew Linzey. “Our congratulations to Limoges University for their excellent initiative”.
