Fellow’s Book Short Listed for Lush Prize

Centre Fellow Dr Andrew Knight’s book The Costs and Benefits of Animal Experimentation has been short listed for the prestigious Lush 2012 Prize.

The Lush Prize is devoted, inter alia, to raising awareness of the use of animals in experiments and promoting alternatives. Lush is a major producer of high class cosmetics without the use of animals. Dr Knight’s work has been nominated and short listed under the category of “Public Awareness”.

The Costs and Benefits of Animal Experimentation is part of the Palgrave Macmillan Animal Ethics Series published in partnership with the Centre. Dr Knight is a veterinarian and bioethicist, and Director of Animal Consultants International.
