Centre Celebrates Successful First Oxford Summer School
29th July 2014
The Centre is celebrating the success of its first Annual Oxford Summer School held at St Stephen’s House, Oxford, from 21-13 July, 2014.
The topic of the Summer School was Religion and Animal Protection, and the Centre was privileged to have more than 60 speakers world-wide representing all the major religious traditions together with philosophers, sociologists, lawyers and historians. It was the first international gathering of academics from multi-faith and multi-disciplinary perspectives.
Next year, the second Summer School will examine the Ethics of Using Animals in Research and will take place in Oxford from 27-29 July, 2015.
