Animal Ethics Book Series
Call for book proposals and manuscripts
Palgrave Macmillan Publishing in partnership with the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics invites proposals and manuscripts for a new book series titled
The Palgrave Macmillan Series on Animal Ethics
Edited by Andrew Linzey and Priscilla Cohn
A new book series for a new field of inquiry: Animal Ethics. Interest in the ethics of our treatment of animals has increased markedly over the last 40 years. This series explores the challenges that Animal Ethics poses, both conceptually and practically, to traditional understandings of human-animal relations.
Specifically, the Series
- provides a range of key introductory and advanced texts that map out ethical positions on animals;
- publishes pioneering work written by new, as well as accomplished, scholars, and
- produces texts from a variety of disciplines that are multidisciplinary in character or have multidisciplinary relevance.
Authors are invited to send ideas and proposals (via email) to Professor Andrew Linzey, Director of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. Please email director@oxfordanimalethics.com to request a proposal form.
